It's not something serious, but how about a lighting system for the rear seat? The Lancer with the sunroof does not have any lighting mechanism for the rear seats.

True, and actually this is something that could be made pretty easy. could just route it from the one in front to the new one in back. but you would lose the possibilty to control without the other one. Front one will do all controls and have it light when you open doors.

+1... Its pretty dark back there. And the less expensive versions have a better setup there.
Based on the setup they use (on models w/o the sunroof), there has to be a way to separate the 2 so the rear is not dependant on the front.

2. Foglight rings (similar to the ones on the EVO) and the lower grill trim, the factory ones are only overseas and cost too much anyway.
You can see them HERE (scroll up)

3. I also think this mod to the front bumper would be an excellent upgrade.
It makes the front of the car look smooth.
Look Here

4. So many ppl are buying HIDs for this car. But they are putting them in Halogen lamp housings.
I found this today, but its way too expensive at this place.
If this could be made more affordable it would sell like crazy. (scroll down to the Light/Bulbs section)

i don't realized there is no night lighting behind the real seat. maybe because i don't have sun roof on my car or maybe i was alway driving along or maybe my are using super bright LED room light, so the brightness is enough to cover the interior spec. but i think is a good ideal 2 look in2 this accessories. :liebe011:

Any other new concept accessories you guy can think about?

i am thinking of blind spot sensor. each side of your side rear view mirror fit 3 LED (green, orange n red) 2 indicate the distant of other traffic was hiding inside your blind spot while u r driving. (10m , 5m and 3m distant indication) this will help 2 prevent accident when changing of land. driver are alway look at the rear view mirror for clearance before they changing land, so with the 3 LED indication light fit, the driver can easly know r there other traffic was hide inside their blind spot and r the distant safe 2 changing land. off cause the sensor will need fit somewhere around the rear bumper.

Just Look At The LED Sensor

This is actually very interesting. I like the idea of the LED indication and different colors. Green means there's more than enough distance to safely merge into the other lane, Yellow means there's enough distance, but enter with caution, and Red means do not merge.

How would installation work?

 what i think off is to using 2 long distant ultra sound sensor and fit at the rear corner bumper and with a control box to measure the sound rebound. by calculater the speed of sound travel, the faster which mean the car in your blind spot is closer to you. the controll box will base on all information receive and indicate it through the LED light. this type of sensor are very common use in the reversing parking, but the distant has preset only 1.3meter, so to made this device to work accroding to the usage, the IC controll need to reset the distant.

I second the fog light rings. I want them so badly, I'm considering painting my fog light housing to simulate the effect.

DKTRL, Americans would go f-in nuts if the blind spot indicators were in meters.

A much needed accessory would be leather. Get rid of some of the **** plastic inside the car and put in some leather! Atleast wrap the gauge cluster hood on the dashboard in leather like in the Audi TT MKII.

Leather seats are a MUST. And not the **** cheap hard, rough leather either. I'm not talkin uber expensive leather but something soft and smooth. Pleasant to sit on. To keep everyone from complaining that the seats are too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter, heaters = winter, fans = summer.

A whole new package, Leather Package. Includes heated and fanned front leather seats. Standard leather seats in the back. Leather armrest, leather side door inserts, leather gauge cluster hood. Package cost $2,000.

I personally think its utter crap that the Evo X, costing as much as it does, both GSR and MR dont have any leather option at all. Yes I know some dealers install from a 3rd party supplier, but more often than not its crap leather they over charge on.

The Evo X MR is about $40,000. TOTALLY not worth buying. For that price, you've got a 350Z, G35, TT MKII, 335i.

 Well, is doesn’t matter whether the blind spot indicator is indicate in ft inch or meters. What we discuss here in meters, is just a guidance of distant. Eventually it will indicated by color LED light. Green LED is indicated there are object within the blind spot, but yet safe to divert land. Amber LED light indicated object within your blind spot and is not advisable to divert land, provided you can set a clearance. Red LED light is indicated object within your blind spot and is very close to your car and do not divert land.

 Leather wrap for interior plastic, is a good idea to look into it. I also agree with you the interior of this Lancer are too plastics in some area, it will really nice if could do something on it.

 Technically to insert heating pad into the leather seat cover should not be a problem, but a little cost involve. Whereby, to add fan onto the seat will be a bit problem. It involve in some technical modification and wiring. Maybe we consider insert a water circulation pad into the seat cover. During summer, circulate cool water to reduce heat and during winter it can circulate hot water to keep you warmth. One stone two birds. What will be the cost, need to work out.

 At the moment we are still in the discussion of 2008 and 2009 lancer additional accessories. Any new accessories ideal member contribute to this topic will definitely benefit all member who are driving lancer.
