I hope you saved some money to upgrade the brakes. from the looks of that picture they look like 18s or 19s. Whenever you put larger wheels on a car you need to upgrade the brakes and those brakes look like nothing for those wheels.

 for this kind of rim i thinks is not expensive, but to made the car look even better, i think he need to do some upgrade for the body, and seem like there is also some paint chip off.

I'm pretty sure the only reason you get bigger brakes is because you add more hp to a car from heavy modding and you need the brakes to be able to slow down and or stop from high speeds. The only thing bigger rims have to do with that is that you might need 18's or 19's to actually fit bigger brakes on a car.

I'm not certain by any means but my guess as to why you need better brakes for bigger rims would be that the weight of the wheel would be more to the outside of the wheel which would cause it to be harder to stop. Also, it could have something to do with the fact that it is unsprung weight.

When you put larger wheels on a car the more mass you are turning unless you find some super light weight wheels. The more mass you are turning means you have to stop more. You upgrade your brakes with bigger ones so that it compensates for the more mass and you can still slow down properly. Otherwise you work your brakes harder which can cause fade or failure faster. If your brakes fade more or fail completely you dont stop. Upgrading your brakes is more of a safety precaution so you dont have the issues.
