Hi everyone, I just bought a 2009 Lancer GTS 2.4L and am trying to find some performance parts like intakes, exhaust, brake upgrades, etc. But I can't find a **** thing. Dose any one know of any web sites, companys providing parts for the 09 2.4L ?

There isn't a whole lot specifically for the 2.4L, but most things for the 2.0L/2008 Lancer will fit.

A few guys have put Injen CAI's from 08's on their 09's no problems. The 08 Exhausts should be the same, Short Shift kit for the 08 will fit, and and any light weight pulley will work.

Anything with timing piggyback/flash will probably be different due to the larger displacement with the GTS, although probably not significantly.

Yup its a brand new car. Only a year old so expect 1-2 more years before any really decent competition appears. Also, at the moment, I think most if not all of the respected companies are focusing their R&D efforts on the GTR. You gotta face the fact that the Lancer GTS sits in a very distant shadow to the GTR. Thats where the money is at the moment.

Aside from Works and Road Race Motorsports, I'm not sure which other Mitsubishi niche performance companies are out there but they're the ones that will bring out the best stuff. Sure Greddy, Injen, HKS, etc have some exhausts out for the car but those are all the same. Its all generic crap with the only difference between each car being the bends in the pipes. Niche companies are the ones that are going to work out the nicest parts, the best sounding exhausts, etc.

I think once I have my 09 GTS (Should be in 2-3 weeks), I will just go make my own exhaust. Find a nice 3" oval tip, maybe from Borla, put on a performance muffler, and get some pipes made to go to the cat. Would work just as well, sound better, look better, and cost half as much as the crap from the aftermarket macro-facturers.

Anyway, its all been basically mentioned above, theres a couple niche companies that make some decent stuff, but we all gotta wait a while for more to appear on the market.
