first off hello to all

just recently bought a "non-Working" 3000GT VR4 1992 didn't work when i bought it but i had a few ideas of what was wrong after some testing i found the waste gate solenoid to be bad as well as the fuel filter needing to be replaced. after replacing the fuel filter the car worked great for a few days but then one afternoon it wouldn't run.

what it did

Starts engine-> Boost Gauge goes full/Fuel Pump Relay Clicks as well as the Relay in the Engine compartment/Fuel Pressure Relay Clicks->Engine Dies/Starts Repeats process

after talking to some turbo owners they said to check all the relays for the turbo so i did, found the Waste Gate Solenoid was shot. replaced it. car starts works great till i get to the bottom of a hill dies again.

after sitting for a day car starts up fine. let it run for 30min to make sure its good to go. works fine drive it around come back to Base(US Navy) and have to get a temp pass, so i pull up and wait on an "inclined hill" Starts to do it all over again but when im not on any incline it will rarely do it

could this be a bad fuel pump
(fuel pump looks like its been underwater for a few days lots of rust but all the electrical looks good haven't tested it yet)

Thanks for taking the time to read this and helping me out

P.S. already looked at All other relays they all work based on the manuals resistance and voltage readings specifications, also have pulled ECU and the Caps have been replaced already but it was a shitty job so i had to redo the soldering points.

P.S.S. if any one lives near Groton CT and knows a lot and would like to help id appreciate it

can you take a picture of the fuel pump. The tops of the assembly are almost always covered in rust. but the part in the tank should be clean as a whistle.

How much gas is in the tank at the time?

I would test the pump... how to do that I am unsure. If it happens to be the pump I can help you find a replacement fairly quickly.

As I think of other things I'll post up.

on the gto tt there is a loose unconnected black wire inbetween the battery and the inner wing as far as I know this is a direct feed to the pump and can be used for testing purposes, never tried it myself though!

You have a bad ecu. The boost gauge is actually good for something on these cars. When it reads full boost and you either 1. haven't started the car, or 2. the car is at idle, then you know it's a bad ecu.
