installed hid conversion kit today
1 of the ballast and the conversion unit is on top of a container
but...
the other ballast i cannot find a good place for it so right now i have it taped on top of the engine, which is probably a bad idea

for the ppl with outies and have hid kit installed please give me some advice/suggestions, thanks

Sorry for the late answer, but only now i saw the question on the forum , and ..is raining like hell outside, but i went to make some pictures for you. here are my ballasts installed, had not problems so far. see in pictures name which is where.

My solution for HID balast placement is this one:

The bracket for ballast was included in the HID conversion kit. I believe I fulfilled the requirement for good air-flow around the balast for cooling purposes. It is placed quite close to slits, means water may attack balasts. And it does. But they are water resistant, connectors are intensionally oriented down just because of water. No problems.
