I am trying to replace the (rather feeble) standard horn on my 2007 Colt with a set of air horns.

The instructions show different wiring depending on whether the horn button is connected to positive or if it is grounded. (Air horns are Alpex Dual Tone).

Anyone know the answer - positive or grounded?

 if you r connect it 2 the steering than is -12vdc, but the wire connection from steering did not direct connect 2 the horn, it connect 2 the relay, than the relay will provide a +12vdc to the horn.

 if the switch u r intend install it separately, than, suggest you follow the same method as factory. -12vdc. Reason, majority of the car chassis r naturally in -12vdc, if u wire your control wire in +12vdc n from inside the car 2 outside the horn, anyparts of your this wire isolation parer off it will cause contact with the chassis -12vdc n short circuit. if u r lucky only the fuse will blow off. if u r unlucky your might cause fire.
