I have white smoke coming fromthe atil pipe. Someone indicated that my turbo bearings may be bad. Can I just replace the bearings or do I need to replace the turbo. Smoke is sometimes intense inside the car, especially when parked or stopped at a light. Head gasket is fine, no oil leaks.

New turbo would be better ... unless you feel like rebuilding a turbo ...

Which is a sad day.

Anyhow back to the turbo, if you wanna check and make sure that your turbo isn't burning anything, check for shaft play, and if theres a dec amt... chances are you're burning from your turbo too. Either rebuild or replace.

Rebuilding T-25 is a waste of time! You can buy a decent used 16G for less money.

As for smoke, it is easy to mistake the color of the smoke... Does it smell like burning oil?

First off, he didn't say he had a t25.

Second off, when you buy a 16g, you have to buy a 2g install kit and it entails much more work.

Third off, many times you can get the t25 rebuild kits for nothing or practically nothing (like i did :) although it entails you will rebuild by yourself).
