My friend who is a big audi fan and owner turned me onto these guys

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfrppZ100QQsassZflashplus

They are good and no lie $75 for everything shipped.

Admin should pin this, it is a good place to find HID kits for any car.

Quickly dropping prices on HID kits? Seems fishy to me...

HID kit reviews

Read up before buying HIDs. That eBay kit doesn't come with a wiring harness, so it pulls the power from your stock wiring. Baaaaaaad!

Also, the ballast is waterproof, but the bulbs aren't. Notice how he's holding the bulb in his hand? Drop it in the water dude!

willy the prices dropped over the weekend. My friend owns a set from the company and they are good and cheap. So if you cant afford the really really nice ones I would go here for it. Literally he has had the HID for about a year and a half now and had no problems with them.

Hey, more power to him. I'm not saying don't buy those HIDs... I'm just offering my $0.02 for a reputable company that has been in the market for quite some time.

My question is... what kind of car does your friend drive? Perhaps his electrical system is prewired to handle the load for an HID system.

oh by all means your $0.02 are more than welcome.

He drives a 2005(maybe 2006) Audi A4 Quattro. It may be that his car is prewired for the HIDs, maybe not. All i know is that he recommended the HID's from the company.

Yeah, his car is definitely prewired to handle the load of an HID system, no doubt.

As long as they are weatherproof, don't flicker, and come with a good warranty, it doesn't really matter where you get them.

this is true. but hey since those ballasts from mobileHID are like hammerproof, im prolly gonna pay the extra to get the quality.

It will be a good feeling when you see a truck full of hammers crash on the highway and you know your ballast will be able to take it.

Too bad we can't say the same for the paint.

Side story: I was able to get some pics of the OEM projector housing (with HIDs) and I realized that the housing is set up to withdraw the current for the HIDs and ballasts from your stock wiring.

What does this mean?

Well, if the OEM HID kit can run flawlessly right off the stock wiring, I don't see why some equal strength aftermarket kits couldn't do the same!

Personally, I still say that if you are going aftermarket, you should invest in a wiring harness. Nothing beats clean juice from the battery! MMM MMM!

yeah definitely still gonna stick with an aftermarket harness, dont want to run the risk of the HID's blowing something in the electrical and therefore voiding warranty.
