Okay so i just got my clutch kit, with the intentions of doing it myself with one or two of my friends, today at work someone told me i might not want to do it and pay a professional to do it. well a few months back my head gasket blew and my father and i did all the work ourselves and i admit it was hard and time consuming but that doesnt bother me cause my dad had been working on mustangs and other random cars for the last 20 years. my problems is....do the three of us go ahead and do it or should i save and get a professional to do it??? around how much does the average mechanic charge for this??

it isn't hard at all. especially on the 420a cars. the trans weighs about 60lbs and all you have to do is unbolt the clutch from the flex plate. drain the fluid, remove the axles. drop the trans, slide the clutch off the input shaft. slide the new clutch on with a SMALL amount of lube. toss the trans back in and bolt the clutch back to the flex plate. done in about 2 hours and still have time for
