First of all I want to say I read the 3 pages of turboing a NT to a T. Mostly I gathered info for the **** 420A and 4g64. I have a 92 Eclipse 5spd 4g63NT. I was looking to get a compression test FIRST, then buying one of the complete turbo kits on extremepsi.com.

I just want to know WHO has turboed their 4g63 and what all they needed.

Im sure my stock clutch will need to go buh bye, fuel pump, oil pump, injectors, ect....

lets talk fellas

Reason i want to turbo:

*Boost
*Lack of 4g63 parts for Non turbo
*just tired of not being able to find a good exhaust/downpipe/header/EVERYTHING

yes sir NON TURBO.

OK I wasnt very clear and im sorry. I dont want CRAZY HP, but do want some boost. I colected in the other thread on turboing, you can install a stock turbo kit on a non turbo engine and it will handle ok, but if you go bigger turbo, ect then the block will need to be upgraded. I just want to buy one of the turbo kits and have it tuned for the factory boost but fancy kit.

There is a 1.8 version of your motor running around out there I get confused.

If your clutch is in decent shape it should last a while.

lord knows the shape of my clutch. The kid that owned the car before me looked like he abused the car. The hydrolic fluid was bone dry, brake fluid was low, ect ect ect, BUT he had bass and a butt ugly shift knob, and some getto CAI (cold air intake). I just want to continue to clean this thing up and get it up to par. Im a interior exterior customizer. I already ripped down the old saggy headliner and reupholestered it, ect. The kid took the time to install red RTV sealant for a valve cover gasket, but didnt buy a valve cover gasket. wonder why it leaks oil HMMMMM dumb asses. Sorry I just find these type of people funny

Is it me or i'm the only one who can understand this guy and all the rest of you was like

Yes you CAN turbo your non turbo car to turbo. You can get all the parts from a turbo car and your set. but the problem is you are still missing some sensors and ECU.

I understood him fine.

first of, EMC just so you know for future posts, the 1.8L is the 4G37, the 2.0L (the popular one) is the 4g63. and ye basicaly need everything from the turbo enginne yours does not have plus some. youll need the turbo ECU and internals also.

hmm, well I wasnt gonna go buy all stock turbo things off another dsm and add it. I wanted to order a kit online, then buy a ecu off a member maybe. I know I will need the upper intercooler piping and all. I have one of those Venom intake manifolds that I had on my 95 TSI and I wanted to use that as well. I have the 6 bolt crank so I figured it should be able to perform ok on low boost, internal wise.

First things first with this eclipse. I will get a good compression test and make sure im good to go. I dont remember if our tranny internals are ok for this project.

the problem is, if you buy a kit you the ecu will be usless since you will need something to tune any ECU you get.

Thats why you take it in to get tuned. I would assume thats the process you take, I could be wrong. I maybe better off finding a stock kit off someone who wrecked their car or something lol.

yea but to have it tuned you need something to tune it with, like a AFC, or standalone or something.

I checked out your ride 4g63attack. nice setup. I know someone trying to sell a "complete" stock turbo kit for $500 about 3 hours west of me. I may just pick that up.

Im sure there are more vac lines I wont have that I need.
