The light only appears when the car is started. It won't come on when I turn the key on tho... I have no idea what is causing this. Has anyone had this problem happen to their car? If so, what did you do to fix it.

Is the car turning off or anything or is just the light coming on? Check the voltage and make sure it's all right.

The regulator is built into the computer on my car not in the alternator

The battery light came on in my eclipse and I changed the Altenator and it was still on. Check your fuse under the hood. That solved my issue cost about 3 dollars.

Is either your alternator need to send in for service to replace new carbon or the fuse beside the bettery blow. check the fuse before service.

engine start and bettery light is on mean alternator no charging

The white one on the bottom is my alt fuse. I put the fuse box cover in the pic also so there shouldn't be any confusion. its not a very good pic but if you look at it hard enough you can see it says alternator.

Ok so...what I have done so far for this realllyyy f'm irritating problem is...

1: Bought new alternator, installed it and light still is on
2: Bought new PCM (Power Control Module), installed...and light is still on
3: Checked the fuse for alternator, its good...does not need replacing..

now I ask...WTF is wrong with this **** car?!?!?!? :puzzled: :puzzled: :puzzled: :puzzled: :puzzled: :puzzled: :puzzled:

Well guys, I have fiugred out the problem and fixed it... and the thing is..it cost me nothing to fix, so all that money I spent on having my pcm rebuilt was a waste.

My Intake was resting on a wiring harness that connected to my pcm, and what happened was 2 wires in the harness melted a bit so i just had to cut the bad section off and reconnect them.

I'm kinda **** that i had to waste money on such an easy fix... So if any of you have a problem like this PLEASE save urself some money and look for the stupid crap first.
