alright i just bought a 1992 gsx awd off a old lady for 200 nothing wrong with it at all runs and drives perfect but anyway its the headlights i cantfix i cant figure out what to do sothey flip down anyone know what to do/check for thanks

wow, that's one hell of a deal!

Check to see if the headlight motors are getting power when you turn the lights on and off. If there is power and they still don't move then they need replaced.

ok i need new motors for them now where are the motors located (sorry new to these flip up headlights)

how do you know the motors are bad? did you check them without finding them? im confused

have you checked the fuse?

i got power to the heaadlights and i checked the fuses there all good so i figured it was the motors

it could just be a wire. even though the lights turn on the motors have a seperate power source. you need to check for power at the motors themselves with a volt meter.

Power to the headlights and power to the motors should be two separate wires. Just because the lights have power doesn't mean the motors do. Theoretically the motors should have a relay somewhere so that when you turn your lights on the motors get power and vice versa when you shut them off they get power again to put them down. You need to find the motors and test them to see if they get power first before assuming that they are bad.

the relay is in the passenger side fuse box (shown here http://members.shaw.ca/dsm.1000q/Enginepri...G/relaybox.htm) check the power feed wire, then the relay, then check the power out wire from the fuse box to the motors. If you have power at all three of these follow the power outlet to the fuse behind the headlights that controls the motors, then check the motors
