Here is another smoke issues for you guys. Just bought my 01 gs turbo it has a crappy ebay turbo on it, all the internals of the motor are forged for when it had a supercharger on it. Today going down the freeway racing a 96 gst my car all of a sudden started smoking pulled over and it is just pure white smoke and a whole lot of it at that. The car does not over heat, no engine noise other then the normal. but i do hear a whistle that sounds like it is comming from the turbo, i know i do not have a oil pressues regulator on the oil lines to the turbo and when i went to check the turbo i have about 3/4 inch of up and down play. Please tell me it is the turbo and not a piston

3/4 inch of play!! that turbo is more junk than a crx with a fart pipe and 16 year old driver! :P

nm i found out what it is, i fired my rings, so much for my friend saying the motor was built. Owell time for a rebuild
