ok u all know i have been workin on puttin a motor in my car. and now i cant get it to start. read the pinn topic and also tested everything i could all was fine. here my issue when i get parts from the shop to get the block together, there was a wire in there whick i trhought was for the ac or sumthin lik that. well i was wrong ots the crank shaft pos sensor. im guessin that is my issue and is the reas=on i have no spark. and also theres another wire i didnt hook up cuz it seem to have been broken. it has 2 green wires connectin into 1 wire and seemed lik the end was broke off kinda looked lik glass. what could that be? it located off the fire wall close to the AC compressor kinda seems it goes in that area sum where.

please have good news for me i really want this **** thing runnin

can you post a pic of the broken sensor? yes the crank sensor is why you aren't getting spark. it goes right above the oil filter housing and has 1 bolt to hold it in the block.

there are 2 others on the back of the block. oil pressure sending unit and knock sensor. the knock sensor has a threaded end sticking out of it to install into the block. the oil pressure sending unit may be the one you are thinking of

isnt the oil pressure sendin unit on the oil cooler its self? and for the crank shaft sensor it shows om my book it goes by the crank under the timing cover. u might be thinkin of the non turbo models. and the knock sensor is there and pluged in. and for a pic of the broken connecter/wire ill try for a pic but not sure if ill be able to get to it without takin the intake mani off but ill try

Where did that come from? like passenger side of the car in the front or back? and on the block or head?

That looks so familiar to me. I just pulled my head to replace the head gasket. And please get some non-blurry pics.

Oh, and the oil pressure sending unit wire is on the front of the motor like right by the oil filter, it's a black wire with like a little slot on the end that slides onto a little nipple on the end of the sender. you can see it if you look under your car from in front of the driver's side tire.
