I am thinking about trading my Eclipse for a Talon. I really like the Eclipse much better but I think this is the best way to get out of my car right now (If you've been following my posts you'll understand). As you know I'm having engine problems after rebuild. The Talon i'm looking at is a 95 and has 150k with a complete top end job. It has ac and cruise control which mine doesnt, but the interior is not in as good shape (it may just need cleaned).

My question is will the 97-98 bumpers fit on the Talon? I know that the taillights are different and this is a long shot but can you change the back end to an eclipse (change the tailights and the bumper). Will this work?

I was going to do that to my old Talon. I am almost certain the talon has to be a 97 to do the Eclipse Conversion. But you can prob go it.

Here's the ad on the Talon and a picture. My ad follows

I have a 1995 Eagle Talon Esi for sale. It's a 2.0 Liter 16 valve DOHC engine with 153,000 miles. It has a complete top end rebuild including new valves (with a complete valve job), camshaft, timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, gaskets and seals from the head up, brakes, tires, cv axles, ball joints, and lower control arms. It has a stereo system, halo headlights, and wheels too! This car in its present condition bluebooks for $2,695. I want to sell it for $2,200. I will also trade for a 1992 and up honda or nissan 240sx. Let me know what you have

Thats great! Will it require modification since the tailights are different or will it go right on?

they will bolt right up. I haven't done the conversion but I'm thinking you might have to extend the reverse light wiring

2200 for a 150,000 mileage talon seems like a TON of money. I paid $425 for my 5spd Eclipse 2.0 and it runs great and looks really good as well. I would do some more research on the cars. Stick with the eclipse you have now or sell it for as much as possible, and invest into a turbo talon for $2000-$3500 decent one.

No its just the regular coupe. I think trading for the Talon is a good idea cuz it runs and has a/c (needs to be charged)

I know; I had the base model Eclipse coupe; lower model than the RS. But I traded it for the Talon today. I think I did good. It has a few repairs that need to be done but over all it runs good :)
