Hi all,
I own a 2002 Carisma 1.6 GLS Diamond. The central locking remote is a two button (grey and red) separate control i.e. not integrated in key. On the back it says TRW model fcc id: g043vt6t isc: 1470 k 1362 . I thas two R2016 cells inside. I think it's NOT the Cobra one mentioned in other topics of this forum. It's originally Mitsubishi so not after market.
After changing the cells I lost sync with the ECU. I tried the Cobra trick, but even if I keep both buttons pressed for 30 secs they will never start to blink.
Another solution I read somewhere else on the net was: short "one" of the leads of the diagnostic ODB bus (I think I only have + , -, a send and receive wire so must be one of the two last leads and probably the receive) then press the red alarm button in the middle of the dash below the vents 10 times and then press the buttons of the remote to have the ecu learn the codes again.
Anyone to confirm this method, or is there a complete different method?
Btw I do have an (e)odb interface but I'm not sure if there's software to perform this action.
Can anyone help on this?
Tnx, Bart

I also changed the battery and then the remote didnt work, as far as I know the only solution to this is; go to a Mitsu dealer and then they hook up the mut and "two" seconds later it works again. I didt even pay for it :)
