hi, I just bought a 93 eclispe with 140k miles on it. The car wont go into to overdrive when i hit about 60mph. The guy i bought it from said that before he replaced the transmission the overdrive worked, but afterwards it wouldn't. What do you think it can be? Will i still be able to drive below 65mph until I can get it fix? Please Help!!!

don't worry, overdrive is for fuel economy on the highway. it won't blow up or anything, just work your engine a little harder.

check to make sure the switch is hooked up on the shifter and that all the plugs are secure on the trans. if all else fails it could be the end clutches, refer to the pinned FAQ. there is an end clutch post

automatics have clutches in them. they are just "automatic" clutches instead of manual clutches. read that FAQ it will explain alot
