ok so i have been looking in the throttle body of my 1g talon non turbo. and i could see something shiny in it. So i took the throttle body off and i saw a fuc king pair of tweezers in there. well i tried grabbing it, and it fell down the air pipe that turns down to go into the engine. i had a magnet tool and that wouldnt get it. what is there to do. I dont know who the fuc k would but tweezers in there. and why they did it.. this is pissing me off.

OMG that is classic, you need to find the last person that was under the hood of your car and slap them

you can usually find these at autozone

you are probably the only person ever to find tweezers in your throttle body

that tool is normally for a dropped wrench, nut, bolt, socket, etc. Not because you are tweezing your eyebrows under the hood :P

I know i was just bustin your balls. I don't even have the slightest idea why anyone would use tweezers under the hood of the car.

when did you buy your car? if it was recently you should take it back to the dealer and show them. you might not get anything out of it but I would because it's an opportunity to let them know their mechanics are dumb

BULL ****! They better get the tweezers out! lol.

Anyways, yeah. Just go and visit each mechanic and see which one has the primped eyebrows or something and then just deck 'em.

And, if you start to cause a scene, you might just get a free tune-up or something out of it.

6 1/2 months? Probably not. They could just say you put them in there to get something free.

I guess your best bet would be to get that "Tool Monger" thingy and just grab it out of there or pull of the intake manifold to remove them. Although, I don't see as to how they could get past the valves, so I guess it's safe to assume they won't damage your internals, but you never know.

you should be able to grab it with the tool but taking the manifold off is a pain when the engine is still in the car.

you have to remove all the vacuum lines, coolant hoses, sensors, fuel rail and injectors, and then you can start taking the bolts out (10mm). There are also supports underneath that attach to the block. they are 14mm. don't forget to change the gaskets

ok i am definitely not taking the manifold off. i would take pics but you cant see the tweezers anymore it fell down from the top of the manifold when i tried grabbing it down the first one of the big holes that goes down to the engine block. But once i get it out i will take one.

do you think it would make it all the way to the internals or just sit in that bend under the top of the manifold

Man, you'll feel so much better if you go ahead and do the work to get that taken care of. All you'll really have to do is grab a haynes manual, and set aside some time on the weekend.

Then it'll relieve all the stress of ruining your entire engine because of a $.99 pair of tweezers. :P

yeah, if you take the head off and then dump them out of the manifold. That seems like creating a ton of extra work though.

i would never tell anyone to do this except you already have something stuck down inside. Im also assuming you know which runner the tweezers are in

get a piece of string and secure a small magnet to it. Use that tool to feel the magnet into the runner that has the tweezers. if you hear the tweezers stick to the magnet pull it back out like a fish
