Yeah so I got the weekend off, so I took my kids to Sea World a 4 hour trip. My eclipse drove just fine everything good. Well 2 days later I check out of my hotel and boom, the car stalls at every light. I find out its the aftermarket intake on it. If you lift it up while the car is running, it will stall the car. Thats not my problem though. My problem is the car started to OVER HEAT. I then took it into the shop near by and they replaced the thermostat and coolant. I paid the bill and on my Merry way, and then it happen again 4 miles down the highway. I then sit in the 108 degree heat and wait for my Taxi. I pay my tow bill to have it towed back to the shop it was JUST AT. THEY rav the **** out of it and drive it @60 and it reads half way on my Temp gauge. So they dont charge me anything and I take the car. I then load my stuff up in the car from our family trip and seriously 2 miles down the road, BOOM car over heats AGAIN. This time she stalled out @65 miles an hour and you can hear from inside the car, the coolant SCREAMING boiling hot with white steams ripping out from under my hood. Its now 98 degrees and my 6 month old and 5 year old are crying and Im upset. I let the car cool down with teh ignition ON but the car off, so the fans would help cool it down quicker. I run the car to the NEXT exit and pull into a crackle barrel restraunt. The car DIED and KNOCKED and TICKED and everything all at once. Now she starts and stalls. I have a large amount of OIL chillin by my spark plug wires. I just replaced the plugs and wires when I replaced the thermostat.

I want to keep my eclipse but dont want to get kicked in the **** for a rebuild kit and the labor of doing it. SO if anyone in or NEAR Tallahasse Flordia have a 4g63 motor 6 bolt for my 92 Eclipse let me know. If you have a shop or garage you can help me out, I will pay you to help me bring it back to life AGAIN 2nd time.

I would like to do a complete 4g63t swap so let me know what you have.

yea headgasket explains the oil in your sparkplugs and all you need to do is pull the head off take to machine shop let them fix where it was warped and put it all back together.

Yeah I might add in here for MORE info. When the car IS running and whatnot, it has a ticking louder noise from the motor. It is NOT the sound of a ROD knock. I have had that before and also bad bearings. That sound is 10x worse then this. I will get the car back and see what happens. Im praying maybe just a head gasket

I DID check the oil before we broke down. We were full on oil.

I found someone who will help me tow it back here. Now I will pull the head off and do a complete gasket kit install. I will buy a used head off someone here OR find one on ebay I guess.

None of this is making sense as to why im OVER HEATING? I do have the Valve noise on top end, but do think im ok on bottom end. Maybe failure of Water pump or maybe need new oil pump , hell I dont know.

there is NO Oil in the spark plugs. If you pull the WIRES, it is bone dry down to teh plugs and if you pull the plugs, they are dry as well. The oil cap is on tight and dry around cap area. Now I inspected the valve cover for any cracks and found nothing. I replaced the entire valve cover gasket all new and made sure it was installed and all seated well.

Now with the car over heating and cooling down oevr and over, Im sure its head gasket and now warped head. Can I just but a new head and gasket, or am I gonna run into troubles with it all sitting flush?

Gasket may be 1 of the factor, but did you also check water circulate pump?

 1) water pump: if inside the pump fan corrossion or fan crack, coolant will not circulate and cause overheating.

 2) radiator blocking: often radiator will corrossion and cause blocking, either 1 or 2 lining inside radiator, is more than enough to cause overheating

 3) fan: sometime it seem like the fan is turning, but it lack of torsional strenght to generate enough cool air to lower the temperature.

Remark: i not so sure about your car model, but some car model when air lock inside water pump will also cause coolant not circulate and cause overheating. so to solve this problem, usually just release the nut at the water pump housing let the air lick out and tighten back the nut will solve problem.

UPDATE

car is still broke down near Orlando, but will be picked up when I get the free time.

I found a complete turbo head with intake mani, with TB and evo exhaust mani, 450 injectors, GM MAF with piggy back on it, all turbo parts minus turbo and downpipe for $280 shipped. The guy is also throwing in like a J-pipe and all kinds off goodies in the deal also. I was just lucky enough to find someone who lives in a apartment and is moving and needs to get rid of everythng and needs money. So whatever fits in the BOX besides what I am getting, he will throw in there free of charge.

YEA IF A HEADGASKET IT WOULD BE COOLENT NOT OIL...OIL ONLY COMES OUT OF THE PAN VALVE COVER AND OIL GALLIES...UNLESS UR BLOCK HAS A CRACK IN IT SO DEEP THAT IT WENT TO PASAGGWAYS THAT THE OIL FLOW THREW...
