Need some help; can't find similar radio solution in the search.

I had to change the battery on a 2003 Lancer OZ; new battery. Radio will not display or switch on at all. Checked fuses, disconnected/reconnected battery, removed radio and disconnected that, checked power-feed from cable with volt-meter (good). I have the code (well, that's another story), but unit will not come on to allow me to enter the code? There is no display. Tried the -leave-the-key -on (no engine) and door open trick I read about - no result. Radio will not come on with key on ACC, or ON, or with engine running. Radio was working great before the battery change.

Is there a reset key-function from the front that I need to use to get it to come on?

Radio Code story - Since I changed the battery I removed radio, called dealer, read serial number from radio - they said no such number existed - but, this is the stock Mitsu radio Orig Equip. We tried adding zeroes before the serial number to take it to 9 digits and that resulted in a code they gave me, which I am assuming will allow me to enter and reset the radio, once I figure out how to get the radio to allow me to enter this code.

with what you are discrbing it seems that the radio is blown. there are no special tricks or resets for the radios when they are not showing a display or coming on. the only time they do a reset is when you have enter the wrong code more then three time but even then the display reads "off". then thats when you leave the key on the on position for an hour to reset the radio so that it reads "code". if you have checked the fuses and even the connector for power and nothing happens on your radio then my best guess its that its out.
