Whenever I make a left turn, the sound of shifting sand emanates from the passenger-side airbag. It's odd that I cannot reproduce the sound when turning right or braking. I'm positive that it is not coming from under the hood or from the wheel well (as in a rubbing tire).

Another note is that this shifting sand sound does not continue throughout the turn. It occurs, then stops. In other words, if I turn left in a continuous circle, the sound does not continue.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Update: I thought the sound was related to a bad passenger-side airbag.
Well, it turns out that my air-conditioner drain tube was draining inside my '04 Endeavor. The passenger side floor was soaked. The musty mildew odor began. The dealer vacuumed out 14 gallons of water (so they say). Fortunately, we didn't have to replace the carpet. They "fixed" the tube and got the inside back to good for roughly $200.
