Whenever i turn my wheel (either way) there's a real loud, annoying creaking sound that comes from somewhere. Anyone know what could be causing this or how i can fix it?

EDIT: Okay... apparently it WAS the ball joint. I was driving home and I went to turn into the edition... then the steering wheel just basically turned itself into hell. the wheel was totally effed. 1300 bucks to fix it... but the creaking stopped. :D

have you ever been to the dealer for them to check the lateral arms? if not make an appointment. the creaking is probably a dry ball joint.

if it is the lateral arm, there is a recall. get it taken care of before this happens:
