Hey guys,

I need help in locating the source of incoming water into the jeep during heavy rains. The roof doesn't leak, or doesn't appear to be. I do have a sunroof. However if it rains overnight and the vehicle is facing downward on an incline I would find the driver's side soaking wet. Can anyone give any ideas as to the cause?

Any suggestions given would be greatly appreciated.

Wut year is it? Ive found on a handful of models that live around sumtimes relatively muddy areas , ive had to service the 2 front sunroof drains for this specific reason. Wurt happens in these cases is that , yu see there are 4 sunroof water drains. 2 large ones in front that drain to the fender area behind the front splash sheilds . The rear drains run to the bac near the door gutters. The front drains are wut do 70 percent of the water draining tho. When the drains get clogged or the area where the drain hose ends near the fender gets clogged with mud or debris it slows the drains ability to drain the water at it normal rate. So i high rains it cannot drain the water fast enough and the water builds til it is high in the gutters around the sunroof and then leak in at the rear portion of the sunroof panel falling onto the seat.

There are many ways to try and remedy it remove the splash sheilds and fender clearance sheild , and pressure wash , usually at a car wash the inner corners of the fender to remove all the debris and mud that have been trapped in that area. Also there is small feed line that i use to fish down the front drain holes to cleare the blockage

Thanks much for this advice. It is a 1996 year model 3500cc DOHC 24 valve V6. I will ask the mechanic to look into it ASAP. The last embarassment I want is to face this issue again.
