Well guys, sorry I haven't wrote in a while. I have been trying to track down the last oil leak on my 420a, which is running like a champ, besides the large puddle of synthetic oil it leaves on the driveway. I finally found the culprit! That **** O-ring in the bedplate! God....Arghhh! An 85 cent o-ring is gonna make me pull the engine. So here's the deal... We have the technology. We can rebuild it. We can make it faster, stronger, with more boost! Stay tuned ladies and gentleman. Get ready for one bad **** 420a turbo. I already have a block that is getting bored. ( waiting to hear the measurements) .20 or .40 over, with Eagle rods and pistons, 8.8-1. Ported and polished, gasket matched head with custom cams and adjustable gears. PT lifters and such, as well as oversized valves etc, etc.... I will continue to post pics on photobucket. Keep it real guys...

Bill

IMO that design should actually be carried over to more manufacterers. It is the strongest main design there is for an engine

I hope you plan on taking care of that block. You are taking a thin walled block and making it thinner by boring it out. If you bore it out to much it is a recipe for disaster.

I am ordering a brand new block bored .20 over and ready for mass boost. Plus the head and cams my beast should hold up pretty great! But I only said all this cause Im headed in the same direction you are  Its just going to take me longer probably...

What all have you done to the motor so far? I like the idea all motor then boost! Just seems smarter to me

no because high compression and boost don't mix well with out lots of octane.

If you have seen some of my posts I am going with 8:8:1. Low compression

all motor references the building of an engine to make power without forced induction. You have two options. Displacement. Or high compression. You don't have displacement. So you could go high compression.

You can "Build" your engine to handle forced induction by lowering the compression. However, this is not considered going all motor.

I see all posts, and I let a lot of stupidity flow, but I never forget things

8.8 is actually pretty high, but it will help spool that turbo
