They know exactly what they have coming in & as far as I know, they should be able to tell you what other dealerships are getting in as well.
Usual deal.....just trying to sell you what they had & not what they had coming in.

I was at my dealer yesterday for a service, and spoke with the sales person who sold me my current car. He said that he has a Rotor Glow Metallic Lancer GTS on order right now. If anyone is interested, that's the Central Mitsubishi @ Rayhnam, MA.

And yes, the dealer knows exactly what they're getting and what other dealers are getting. It's all in their computer system. I remembered when I was there buying my car, initially I wanted a white Lancer GTS and they don't have it in stock. The sales person just simply lookup the computer for me and locate the closest one.

Yeah... it didn't make sense to me that he couldn't order the car, but I went back there again yesterday and he told me the same thing. He said as soon as the rotor glow metallics hit the dealerships, he'll hold one for me and that they cannot be ordered. So, I gave him a deposit to hold one when they get here. Anyways, did your dealer give you an idea of when this color is supposed to hit the dealerships or when his is coming in? My ralliart was totalled last weekend and I don't know how much longer I can wait without a car!

Naw, the dealer didn't mention about when he'll be getting the car, and I didn't ask either because I don't need it. If you're interested, just search for Central Mitsubishi, Raynham on Google and give them a call.

Thread resurection, anyone?

Anyways, first time poster here.

I work in the parts dept. at a Ford/Mitsubishi dealer in Washington, and I bought my 09 GTS in rotor glow orange about 3 weeks ago. I'd been looking at buying a lancer for a while, but was thinking about getting an 08 because of the price. But the moment they took this car off the truck... i had to have it, it's such an awesome color, and it just happened to have all the options i wanted.

The color does have a "premium paint" charge, somewhere around $150 as someone else said already. i got my lancer for invoice though, so the cost was negligible.

Saw a 09 Lancer GTS (Rotor Glow Metallic) yesterday at Puente Hills Mitsubishi in SoCal when I had my car service. What can I say... car looks cool in picture but when your looking face to face with the real deal I can say red, gray, blue, black and white fits the 08/09 Lancer better. To each his own though I know and again this is only my opinion but again I feel that it lacks substance fitting Rotor Glow color to the lancer. I was actually looking forward to this as I think it looks great whenever I see a Nissan 350Z sporting the orange color.

Again... this is my own opinion and everyone is entitled to it

I had seen 1 about 4 days ago at 1 of the local dealerships. IDK....I think that I'll stick with my Rally Red. Maybe it's one of those colors that would grow on you....or look really killer with window tints & some rims...but my 1st impression is either a hit or miss with me...it's not bad...just need another look at it.

Yea, I saw one today at my dealer also. It wasn't as stand out as I originally thought.

RGM is a nice color, but no-thank you.
I already own a 'pull me over' Mica Red Mazda3S, thats bringing a lot of cop attention. Lancers sharp lines, combined with RGM can bring lots of attention we dont really need....

The color is actually not that sharp. Instead I found it kind of dull.

Maybe it needs a polish and a wax first.

or it might be one of those colors that's standing out in direct sun, like the tarmac black.

Might be true. It was a rainy day when I saw the car at the dealer's lot. Maybe I'll drop by sometime for a closer look.

I'm dropping my GTS to get the rear panels repainted again (3rd time) and for an oil change tomorrow, hopefully they will have one on the lot.

you got that right. all warranty work is free + free 3m tape.
first time the colors wouldnt match perfect.
second time they chipped off piece of clearcoat while polishing the car (they already installed 3m clear protective tape, so they will need to take it off)
had no patience to leave it with them that day so I will get it done along with an oil change today. hopefully this time they will not mess this up!!
