I recently took out my 2.0 non-turbo engine to fix a loud knock. After opening the bottom of the engine i found rod #3 hand no bearing. So i went and picked up 4 new standard size bearings and installed. Started up with a slight ticking i opended the engine again and checked the bearings. All the bearings had a very small amount of play so i looked in to this and found that there are 3 diffrent size bearings (standard/.025/.050) sense the standard bearings still had play i went to the next size .025 and everything went back togather fine but the engine turns only with a large prybar at the fly wheel. When i put the starter in it just makes a large click. Any help would be appreacated.

you cant just NOT have a bearing missing. It has to be in your oil pan. I tore apart my 92 rs turbo motor and replaced my bearings with ACL ones. I thought the same thing you did, but later found it in my pan. Mine were scored so bad, but my pistons were good. Anyway good luck bro

wicked your RS engine is different,,but the concept is the same. The only reason I mentioned that is because ACL doesn't make bearings for the 420a and I didn't want him to get confused
