I was at the dealership and sat inside an EVO. Is the interior the same as the regular Lancer? Not the steering wheel and stuff like that but is the dash made of the same material? It looks the same, and I would be **** if I paid $35-$40k for a car that has the same interior as a $20k car.

Wow, no reason to get hostile. You're comment doesn't even make sense. I'm happy with my lancer. I'm just saying, if the car is in that price range, you should be getting top quality.

no ones getting "hostile". You asked a question and I answered. I reread it and dont see anything wrong with it as to not making any sense.

my buddy bought a lancer and it had the I think 1.5 in it. Wow was he dissapointed. thinking its the lil brother to the evo, it was very slow. however it handles very well

Evo's have never been known to have the best interiors. In fact it sucks theres absolutely no leather option. IMHO, the interior isnt that great for a $33k to $40k car. For the price of an MR i'd buy an Audi TT

Its based off a rally car.... what the hell do you need leather for? Theres something wrong if you don't like those recaro seats. Its never had a fantastic interior even all the way back to the 5s. Those who have loved the EVO understand the whys. If you're looking for luxury you'll have to find it somewhere else.
Plus it wouldn't make sense to change the interior parts of the EVO since they're based on the lancer. That would just cost mitsu more in the long run.
Your not paying for the interior, its the motor and the name you're gonna pay for.

+1

People are getting confused because most sports cars out today are sports luxury, which is why they have all the little silly options like power seats, leather upholstery, etc. etc. etc.

Besides... leather is heavier.

EVO X MRs have leather seats and steering wheel and the interior looks better, but otherwise, it's all swappable.
