It's actually pretty simple. Pop open your trunk and there will be 2 screws that hold the housing to the car. Then you want to nudge the housing left and right while pulling it towards your body. If you are working on the left tail lamp, for example, you want to place your left palm against the side of the tail lamp while your right hand holds onto the brackets for the screws.

Just be careful when you pull the housing out. I chipped the corner of my tail light when taking it out once and had to super glue it back it on. :(

I'm still unsure what to do with my tail ights, but this tinting looks awesome. Wonder how it would look with my Metallic Grey...

That looks awesome Greyso! Fantastic job!

Can you get some shots with your reverse lights on too? Night pictures with the lights on would be great as well. I'm really digging the look, but tinting tail lights will reduce their effectiveness. I want to see just how much lumination you lose from the tint.

Function > Form.

Hey I think that the tint against the grey would look sweet..... It would blend in more w the grey than the blue but will still look hott...... Freakingwilly I will post more pics once it gets dark tonite...... I appreciate hearing what you guys think...... :liebe011:

Yea, the more I look at this, the more I love it. I'll put it in with my windows when I get those tinted.

If you have a question about anything on the car the Owner's Manual usually covers it. IE being the removal of tailights which is covered in the Owner's Manual. When in doubt, look at your Owner's Manual!

Hm, still very bright and visible. If they just mixed paint and clear coat, it sounds like a DIY project :P

Yeah actually I have heard of other people in the area are just using spray paint..... But be careful.... We scuffed them up at the shop with a scotch brite pad to make the paint stick and then made sure that we got all the dust off and then he took them into the spray booth and sprayed them..... Baked them for 45 mins and let them cool for 30 mins...... I am really good friends w/ the guy that owns the shop so he gave me a deal and let me help..... So I could try to learn something new...... Thnks for the compliments guys...... I am very happy i did this..... :460:

Just got the Lancer tinted, but I have to wait till next Friday for the lights. 35% on the front windows (legal limit) and 20% on the back. Looks sharp, pics will come when the lights are done :P
