I have a 95 stealth single cam. I have been told that the block from the Grand Caravan is the same. Can anyone tell me if this is true? My motor is knocking badly and I have very low oil pressure. Also I heard that the all wheel drive components will bolt right on and that the holes are allready there. Should I just buy the tt motor and get rid of the single cam? I heard that the single cam is much more reliable. Please help I need advice fast. Money to fix my car will not be around long.

to convert it to DOHC is more headache than it's worth. and for the price, you may as well just scrap your SOHC and buy a vr4.

the SOHC motors are a dime a dozen, call around to local junkyards and they'll probably have one for pretty cheap.

as for teh grand caravan, I think they're pretty much the same? I have no idea if it will bolt up directly though... mitsu does funny things sometimes with their engines :)

and yes, the SOHC is MUCH more reliable. We have one as a daily driver, and it is the BEST car, ever. We enjoy driving it daily probably better than the Vr4/TT... only because we don't have to worry about it at all LOL

Just call around for another engine. They usually aren't more then $700. Don't get one out of a caravan. You will have to swap over too many things. SOHC stealths are everywhere so finding an engine shouldn't be hard. Check out www.car-part.com for an engine in your area.

Thank you. I will look at that site. I called around to a few locale shops and to get a rebuilt motor would be about $3,000 with a warrenty. But thats not to install. Shurely I can find one cheaper. Thank you.
