This is the best way to do it, IMO.
Go down to a auto body supply store that mixes paint. Have them look at the paint code for your car (should be in the glove box on a sticker, door jambs, etc), and have them mix up some enamel paint for your car, and put it into a rattle can. This way you get the perfect match of color.
While you are there, get a can of grey primer, and a can of adhesion promoter (auto paint will not stick very well to plastic without good adhesion), and some red Scotch Brite.
Remove center piece on car, wash, and rough up with the red. Wipe off all dust, and spray with adhesion promoter. Wait ten minutes, and prime. Then paint as normal.
