I own both a '94 dodge stealth and a '96 3000gt. The stealth is a SOHC and the 3000gt a DOHC. I have just replaced the stealth's alternator and it was quite difficult to remove the alternator (brought it out from the back). so my guess is that it will be impossible to remove it from a DOHC. What is the easiest way to remove one? appreciating any help possible.

there are two ways. 1 remove the rad makes life alot easier, or 2 if you dont, you will be restricted but put some thick cardboard down in front of the rad for protection!

rad=radiator.

Disconnect the wires. There are two of them. One is plug connection and the other a stud and nut. ( believe its 8mm, might be 10.)

Then you take the nut off the rod at the top and theres a bolt further down. Then you wiggle the alt out.

Just a tip. You can pull the radiator out without draining it or removing the radiator hoses. Just unbolt the mounts on top, unplug the fans (3 plugs), and lift the radiator straight up and lay it on top of the engine. Be careful while lifting the radiator. There are a couple of studs sticking out of the ac condenser on the driver side that like to poke holes in the radiator while removing it.
