If yu are in Steptronic shift range and self shifting , is the shudder there ?

yes the shudder only occur in this RPM range 2, 2.5k, has not occured at a higher rpm, eg.. 3k +
but it is not constant when it occurs, just a few seconds and shudder will stop.

The shudder will ouccer in normal auto mode and 5speed tiptronic..shudder is there in both driving modes.

hope this helps.

Okies , question 2 , is it at 2000-2500 in any gear range? Or just specific gears.
As in in a start and getting to 2000-2500 will shudder , and shift to second at like 3000 and as going thru 2000-2500 it will shudder again , as it will shudder in that rpm range in any gear , or will do it onlee in 1st gear and second , or 2nd?

yes I see what you mean, thats what i use to think , but shudder happens on any gear, and it has aways been consistant occuring in rpm range, dosnt matter what gear it will shudder any of these gears, eg.. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and so on, shudder occurs when accelerating in 2, 2.5rpm range just a few seconds and any change of acceleration shudder will stop, so for me when im driving and car shudders i just change acceleration, eg.. increase or decrease acceleration that way rpm range will change and shudder stops, well all i can say that it sumthing to do with drivetrain, transmission?, had wheels checked, i got new tyres n rims, wheelbalance etc...
not sure with this problem.

hope this helps you, greatful for your intrest!

thanks polarbeast. :liebe011:

Its really hard to say , i am trying to think wut could be causing this issue. I would say check engine mounts , specifically the on cam cover front mount, under the radiator cooling resevior. Through a specific load range , speed , the mount can be broken and causing the engine to have a small vibration.

Its hard to say that it can be the spark plugs because yu would have a drivebility issue at not just this engine speed range. Check engine mounts , even tranny and case and center diffarential mount and rear carrier assembly to sub frame mounts

I am wondering if this shuddering has anything to to with what you guys...said...and what it relates to i terms of the Torque Converter?

Any luck on the topic and problem?
