OK there is a 93 Dodge Colt for 1300 near my house, the body is in good condition and it seemed to run fine when i test drove it. Its the 1.5/5speed 4dr with 128k miles on it. The AC compressor isnt connected to the motor with a belt (idk if the clutch is out on it or if its just not hooked.) The belt motors are broken, but other then that everything else seems to work just fine. Had no problems what so ever when i took it for a test drive.

I looked up the price for a new AC compressor (rebuilt) and it looks to be right around 400 (with clutch) This worries me, makes me think that parts for this car are gonna be hard to come by and/or expensive

The reason behind this post, is to find out what the common problems are with this car, and how much it would take to fix it. And how much it would cost to fix it.

Buy Buy Buy! I've had four in the past 10 years between 89-97. They are excellent cars. Few problems, hold up well, good on gas, probably the least recalls for model year of any automobile. My 89 had 262,000 miles when I gave it to my nephew. The 91 was sold for 1500.00, I bought it for 300.00, had 210,000 miles.
My son is driving a 97 with 205,000 miles that is like new. Don't worry about major stuff, just keep the oil changed and run the crap out of it!
