first unblot andd ur mani's and get all ur pulleys off ur ps alt ect. take ur starter out unbolt ur motor but use a jack with a piece of wood to have a better surface get the duel rail and all electrical connection off n out the way and that also goes for hoses when u get to the point of pullin it out unbolt the tranny and slowly pull it out. there should be 2 bracket to hook up a hoise to kiddy corner from each other ull prolly have to bolt back on since u took both mani's off. that pretty much how i do it. just not indepth of the exact steps but i hope this might help

Drives: 1996 Talon AWD. Built, but no longer drives: 1997 mitsubishi eclipse RS; 1990 Talon AWD; 1995 Talon AWD, 1997 Talon AWD. Seems like a pattern

everyone does it different.

I always unplug all the sensors and label them first. then all vacuum lines. then fuel, intake and exhaust. cooling system and radiator. then passenger motor mount. the pull the crank pulley. Then I attach the hoist, like jugs said there will be two loops that you can hook it too. Once I have the hoist attached and the engine is supported I unbolt the flexplate from the clutch, then the trans, then start pulling. I prefer the keep the manifolds on because it's a little quicker but sometimes they get in the way.

Make sure you mark all the connections or you will have a mess on your hands when you try to put it back together.

The 420a cars aren't that difficult when it comes to the wiring. If you get the wire harnesses in anywhere near the correct positions there are only 2 plugs that can get confused and they wont come close to being able to plug them in the wrong places. I would recommend marking the vacuum lines though.

I personally pull the exhaust manifold and the radiator. I also personally don't separate the trans and just pull it out in 1 piece. I have found it to be easier to get it all back into place separating and reattaching the trans outside the vehicle instead of trying to get everything lined back up in the car.

Take out the support bar and drop it out the bottom. Leave it together. The two lift connections should be used , but just to slowly guide it to the ground. have a wheelcart or creeper ready to roll it out from underneath after your'e done. Just be patient and don't do anyhing you'll regret down the line.
