Hi Guys

I bought the 08 Lance ES, I found the audio quality to be really poor.

I'm planning to get some decent system which plays well without distortion at high volume and pumps some quality bass.

Any suggestions? around using the same head unit but changing speakers and etc.

I dont want to change the way the dash board looks like at the moment, unless there are no options.

Please let me know

Harish

Well i would always suggest to change the source but as the newer cars are making this harder with the newer dash designs i understand.

So tell us what you budget is and we can help you better. Also, What all are you wanting?
Im guessing: subs. sub amp, components, components amp, and LOC for the stock head unit?

Thanks for asking Phil

I was just thinking to install a sub and may be change the speakers to some quality ones. one of the audio stores here in Sydney suggested that I need a mono block and sub, and a normal amp and new speakers. gave me a quote for about $1200AUD.... I thought that was a rip off.

I was thinking of 600AUD as budget but could spend a bit more.

I like the way my dash loom and I'm dont really need all that fancy looking touch screens are anything in head unit, but may think of upgrade on a later date.

please advise

Alright well it changes things a bit since you're in Austrailia.
We can work with that buget, but I do need to knwo what brands you have access to down there.
Just list as many companies you can get there as you can, then we can go from there.

Hey just wanted to revive this topic, I was wondering about the same thing as well. I'm pretty much in the same situation as harish_coss here.

I want to keep the stock HU and the speakers. I do want to add another amp and a subwoofer. I do have a couple of amps lying around in my room though which are Pioneer 300W and 600W and if they are sufficient for a decent subwoofer I wouldn't mind reusing them. I'm looking for a sub which pumps out smooth quality bass and not so much the loud, deafening bass. I have a budget of around $1000 but would prefer it to be in the $500-700 range.

To name some companies off the top of my head which are in the Aussie market are Clarion, Alpine, Pioneer, Sony, Kicker, Fusion and Kenwood.
