I have a quick question about Eclipse turbo manifolds. Is the manifold for the single overhead cam engine the same as the one for the dual overhead cam engine. Will the manifolds interchange with both engines.Thanks.....

the cam has nothing to do with the exhaust manifolds. for example.... the 1G/2G turbo manifolds(which is a DOHC engine) will directly fit on the 3G 4cyl. however, the 3000GT vr4(which is a DOHC and is the exact same block as the 3G v6) turbo manifolds will not fit.

It's not for my 3g.A buddy of mine got a 98 Eclipse with dualcam motor, and I got him a complete turbo system from a single cam motor. The guy he bought the Eclipse from said it wouldn't work.I was just wondering if the head had a different bolt pattern.thanks.By the way,I only paid $125.00 for the turbo system,so if he needed a different manifold,it's well worth it. :57:

ok....youve got me confused now. the title of the thread says turbo manifold(which is the exhaust manifold on a turbo car). but it sounds like you are trying to swap the heads. which one is it?

he could....thats what i am trying to find out. its hard to say it will fit only by knowing that they are eclipses. too many other factors that are involved. need more details.

what SOHC motor was the turbo kit made for? do you know engine codes?
