I have a Pajero 3,2 DiD 2001 model, and have just got the message that the AC compressor is broken.

Mitsubishi in Norway charges USD 3075 ( NOK 15.900,-) for a new AC Compressor, wich i think is too much....

Have anyone tried non original/OEM compressor in the Pajero 3,2DiD ?
If so, I would apreciate info on how/where i can find replacement model without a part number to search for.

Check out nipponaftermarket.com for PN lookup on that compressor. mitsubishiparts.com should allow you to look up the OEM PN. You might get better pricing here than dealer if they ship international.

some country sell recondition compressor. and some country they replace the compressor to other brand & model with just replace the compressor bracket.

example:
1) sanden 507 or 508 compressor.
2) bracket are custom made aligement the compressor with the C/S pulley.
3) Charge and discharge holes.

As for your case, simply change the compressor is not enough. because your compressor broken. small metal residue has flow all over inside the a/c systems. so if you dont clean inside the system, it will cause the new compressor to broken again aftre your replace.

so you need to:
1) flash the whole a/c systems (piping, condensor).
2) replace the filter
3) replace the expansion valve
4) if not too expensive for a new condensor, replace it.

total cost maybe only cause you not more than usd1200 to usd1500
