Hey everyone,

it seems as though everytime the bass in my 03 eclipse is used a strange sound emits from behind the 2 air vents in the middle of the dash above the cd player. Is this a problem with something loose inside the vents or is the sound really coming from the speakers? Its hard to tell where the sound is actually coming form.

the sound is like if you took a penny and started scratching a window screen with it. thats as accurate of a sound as i can get to lol if i come up with anything else ill edit it.

It is probably coming from that little speaker above your clock.

Blown speaker int he clock pod. Remove the front stereo bezel panel (2 screws underneath), pop that off, remove the two screws on the clockpod, and pull that out, disconnect the crap speaker, and reassemble.

Problem solved.
