This could actually turn out to a great thread.

so what parts exactly should be used to upgrade an eclipse with out actually buying new parts. Only allowed to recycle parts from other cars.

But is this a build for turbo or non-turbo?

And just so we're square, GM is General Motors, as in the American auto company?

EDIT: when did it start imbedding quotes in quotes?^

upgrades for turbo cars only. non turbo cars can use this parts list for the best possible turbo conversion

Correct GM = general motors

DSM505 do you mind if I change the topic title? Something more along the lines of "car-to-car swap mods" or something like that

don't forget about the 4g64 crankshaft. i don't know for sure but I think that might require aftermarket rods or pistons to complete the stroker conversion

Regular Eagle rods or stock rods work fine. The only thing special about the stroker kits are in the pistons, well, for the 2.3 liter kits anyway.

2g maf, 2g TB elbow (unless using the 1g N/A tb), 2g o2 housing,  I think the 2g fpr is a little more accurate too but I'm not 100% on that

So, I just replaced my 1G 14b and now you've got me wondering what the 2G TB elbow is (the compressor ouput flange? Junkyard?) How about the 2G O2 housing -- the exhaust flange that bolts to the TB? (Is it compatible with the 1G wastegate actuator? Junkyard again?) Then the 2G MAF! I presume that's a drop in replacement within the 1G air filter can? (Junkyard once again?)

Also, I gather these result in higher delivered air volume plus improved fuel metering?

2g throttle body(tb) elbow. it replaces the stock one that goes to your throttle body.

2g o2 housing will bolt right up and is compatable

2g maf requires a cheap plug harness that can be found on ebay. otherwise it is bolt on
