Hey guys, I just wanted to thank those who have helped with my posts on the problem Eclipse that I use to have. Two weeks ago I traded my 96 Eclipse (absolutely no options) for a 95 Talon ESI; straight trade. I think I did good on the trade and now can live a little easier with all the money I dumped into the eclipse and now having a car that runs.

The Eclipse did run but was blowing smoke. The guy that I did the trade with liked the looks of the eclipse and wanted to get it running right. The Talon needs a some cosmetic help, but a little paint and front bumper, and she'll look good. Unfortunately for the other guy the eclipse broke down on him 20 min before he got home. I told him all the problems I knew of with the eclipse and even told him I wasn't comfortable with the car going on a two hour trip. He wanted the car bad (only saw pics and all details I gave him) and insisted I meet him half way for the trade. I agreed and it drove great the hour I drove it. My guess is he ran it hard and #$%$@ it up. If you've followed the posts on my eclipse then you know there were a lot of problems during and after the assemble of the engine; and I told him about EVERYTHING. I feel bad for him but he knew the risks.

Any how, now I have a list of options with the Talon that I didn't have with the Eclipse. I'm very happy with my Talon although I'm thinking of doing the Eclipse conversion; what do you guys think?

Also is there anyone in my area that can help my car!? It needs a front bumper bad (Eclipse or Talon), and I went broke on the eclipse and have nothing left right now to get a front bumper. I'll take it even if its in rough shape, as long as it looks better than whats on there now, lol. I can possibly do a trade for something or pay small price???

Too bad you don't live closer man. I have an account with a aftermarket body place on the east coast, I can get them for like 100 shipped! Only problem is they only mail stuff to me... in louisiana... because that's where my shop is, and i'm in california... Logistical nightmare.

On the bright side, if you know someone who owns a car-related business, and have their business licence number, you can set up an account with them.

Carolina Auto Supply: 1-800-438-4070

Doubt it will help, but maybe someone else here can use it.

I'm just looking for one that is in tact. In the pictures you can see the bottom of the bumper was ripped off. I'll just have to be patient and look ghetto for a couple of weeks :(

If you are going to look in the ghetto, just steal one from a drug dealer's car. That way, he won't call the cops.

I got a 96 front bumper I would sell you, if you paid the shipping...

Also get the rear with reverse light housings, for 100.

When I find my bloody camera, I'll snap some pics, but they are in great condition other than they need paint...

That would be great. let me know what shipping would be. And pictures would be great. By rear with reverse lighting housing, what do you mean by that; the bumper with the lights? is it a 95-96 or a 97-98? My zip code is 99216 Thanks MadHatter

If you feel bad why didn't you take him his car back? Man that was cold blooded I would have at least asked em if he wanted his car back. :innocent:

Dude I gave him in detail everything the car had been through during assembly and told him EVERYTHING that was wrong or could be wrong with the car at the time of sale. He wasn't even going to drive it. I told him I wouldn't sell it without him driving it. He never asked for his car back so why should I offer. He bought the car as is and he knew the car had problems. Tell me fullmoon how am I in the wrong?
