Okay, so I bought a Fel-Pro bottom end gasket set for my 420a. It has everything I need BUT the bedplate o ring. I looked at pictures of thier set and to my surprise there was no bedplate o ring provided. Then I went to my local autozone and found that in thier set there isn't a bedplate o ring either. Same story with napa. However the bottom end set for the neon, avenger,ect... all have the bedplate o ring. But I can't buy it seprately. How do I get this 80cent part without shelling out another 50bux for an entire set? Or am i S.O.L?

It's in the picture attatched to my original post where all the gaskets are labled. The one that says "bedplate" is the one that im looking for. Its the only orangish one in the set. And it's missing from the Fel-Pro set which is the other pic.

I don't think thats it. It looks too thick. I'm going to try a regular o-ring. I have a huge set of them incase something like this happens. Just hope I don't regret it later

ok so im a dumbass. I do have the tool box with my extra gaskets and shit like that in it but because i'm stupid I don't have the key for it (they are at home). I tried to pick the lock last nite but since im a 'tar 'tar I can't get my tools out of my LOCKED toolbox to pick the lock for the LOCKED toolbox.

I'm going to try again as soon as I get home tonight. i'm gonna stop and get a lock pick set

I think the one dannwo posted may be the one, but you're right it does look kinda thick. Dannwo can you measure it?

Ya it isn't. I got an o-ring that seems to be the perfect fit for it. Fits perfectly inside the hole and sticks up a little bit past the block so the flat bedplate'll squeeze it down for a good tight seal. BBBUUUT if it doesn't work that means the whole shabang comes back out and i'm back to where I was a month ago. Bumming rides to parties and to and from work. Not cool. I've literally spent hours on the phone trying to get the right part. I got a branddee new oil pump, crank sprocket, harmonic balancer, connecting rods, pistons, a totally rebuilt head, and timing kit with manual tensioner, that can all go on just as soon as I get this F*&kin' part. I FEEL LIKE A DIABETIC KID IN A CANDY STORE! :bwekk: If anyone else thinks they might have one let me know and we'll deal. B.T.W. Sry. about the address thing.
