Hey guys I haven't posted on here in awhile.

I was just wondering, if you had about $1000-$1250, what mods would you buy? Please do not list very drastic things such as a turbo. Stick with simple bolt-ons, cosmetic mods, etc, etc.

I most likely won't get these mods since I am saving to get either an e36 M3 or e46 330Ci. I am just wondering what I could potentially do-- it may convince me to do that instead.

Thanks

EDIT: Please keep the mods legal for the California area. Unfortunately, CA has some strict laws on what you can and can't do to your car so please keep it all CA legal if you can.

Not quite sure what you can or can't do in Cali........

But I would get an Injen or the K&N intake (when K&N becomes available)

Injen: Around $315 K&N: Unknown

Some sort of an exhaust.......(waiting to hear in person the works XB Exhale to
see if it's actually semi quiet or what)

Window Tints Price varies.....$150-$250?

Maybe WORKS SS-1 Suspension Pkg. $449 (Maybe you can get 10% off
that price....I thought they were
running a sale through Sept.)
**PLUS installation costs**

WORKS Brain Flash for your computer Price $449

If you were to buy a bunch from WORKS, you "should" be able to get a better discount than 10% I would hope.

All in all...your car would sound better, go better, handle better & look better...all within your price range & probably still habe some change left over for gas

For the record, don't bump posts within 24 hours. You need to give people time to respond.

Injen's CAI is pretty much the best intake out there for our Lancers. If you have a manual (and living in Cali, you probably do), you might want to check out AEM's CAI. It's a little more expensive and it's manual only, but AEM has always made some of the best intakes on the market.

Exhaust is gonna be a hard one because Cali is so strict on emissions. If you got the change to spare, I say go all out and get Injen's SES Headerback exhaust. It'll put a dent in your pocket, but it's the best exhaust for our Lancers available.

The above 2 options will pretty much deplete any funds you have... but you'll be saving money on the boosted MPG, so your gas money can go a little longer.

If you want more bang for your buck, I say go to a custom muffler shop and have them make a cheap axleback exhaust for you. The Works AB Exhale is the best sounding in my opinion... they can make it for about $100 installed. 2.5" piping and a 3" tip.

$750-800 is what the exhaust ALONE will run you and it's only for the Cali-spec PZEV models. Expect to spend at least $1000 for both of Injen's products.

200 HP shouldn't be too hard out of our Lancers if you get a good intake, exhaust, and a good ECU flash. Keeping it N/A only makes it harder.

I would probably use it on a down payment of a new car. I get so angry at the paint job Mitsu put in to this....I think i may sell mine and go back to VW.

He's asking for mods, not cars. Let's stay on track.
