Hey all, im fairly new to this board but have been a long time lurker. Just got my eclipse a couple months back and was wondering if we can keep the temp and clock display if i install an Alpine double din. Thanks in advance.

you get to keep the clock, you lose the temp usually... and if it has a nav system you will lose that too.

Oh ok wow this helps alot Bob. Right now i have the stock infinity. Im looking to put a double din navigation so the nav will probably cancel the temp out?
Also what high end stereos do you recommend for my system. Im looking for a a stereo thatll look like stock with the harness, preferably a double din. My Budget is $1200

You won't get a double din that fits exact. All of them for this car require a small bit of modification to the dash.

Look at stuff made by either Pionner Premier, Kenwood Excelon, or Eclipse.

Im a double din super fanatic. What kind of modifications am i looking at and will they make the final product look tacky in any way. What im trying to emphasize is getting the perfect fit so that it looks stock.

You will need to use a dremel tool to lightly sand down the edges that surround the unit... you may also have to make some slight modifications to the metal surround inside of the dash.
