Dash Coolant Light?

Expert Group: Members Posts: 1,068 Joined: 7-July 08 Member No.: 60,742 Status: Location: Tallahassee, FL Drives: 92 Eclipse GS 5spd	It stays on even after I replaced my radiator and coolant 50/50, and my thermostat. Yes it is completely full, I checked it. Am I suppose to fill the white overflow tank to? I have a black hose running from my thermostat housing to the tank, but its empty.

Senior Group: Members Posts: 308 Joined: 2-March 06 Member No.: 21,810 Status: Location: usa Drives: 1995 mitsubishi eclipse gs	you just usually stick a little in it.it usually has a cool and hot fill line.its mostly to catch coolant when the car gets to hot,rather than a means to fill up the system when it gets low.check fluid levels at thermostat.could just be a bad sensor.

Built, but no longer drives: 1997 mitsubishi eclipse RS; 1990 Talon AWD; 1995 Talon AWD, 1997 Talon AWD. Seems like a pattern	fill the coolant overflow like he said, up to the "cold" line. if that doesn't turn off your coolant light the sensor is on the overflow tank. I think on the bottom
