I am getting my license soon and was looking at a 1994 3000gt sl that is automatic. The guy said 4th gear is out of it and the price is 3250 with 118000 miles on it. Is that a good deal and would it be fine to drive for a couple of months until I fix it?

It most likely needs an end clutch pack. They are about $90 and you can install them in your driveway with a basic set of tools. check out www.plymouthlaser.com for install instructions and http://www.importperformancetrans.com/ for the part.
