a guess
you have a faulty engine management computer

by pulling the fuse you are resetting it

you can get a s/hand one from a wrecker

Could be faulty ECU, does yur brake lights operate normaly when pressed, the cruise control?

Ive had 3 Diamante's that have had an issue like this. The car would not start, reset teh ecu or disconnect the battery for about a minute and it would start up right away. It would nominaly start for about id say 6 more key cycles, then after that it would turn over but not start unless resetting the ECU and disconnecting the battery for about a minute. Turns out it was the brake light multi switch. I closed in on it as for i found the brake lights were not working and also the cruise control did not operate. The brake light multi switch was shorted internally , backsorcing the ECU and ignition system.

This may not be yur case , altho these were on 96-99 models .
