Hey man sorry the Exhale AB didnt work out for you :( I was very tempted to buy it for the longest time. But then all the reviews I read, the first thing people claimed were, how shocked they were by the noise.

And it makes sense when you consider its basically just a straight piece of pipe, with the muffler gone. There's nothing to bring the sound level down anymore.

Just not the kinda noisy thing you want on a 4cyl-2L car like ours right? I think I'm just going to wait for the Magnaflow full catback exhaust.

I was very tempted tp pop it back on....but I am shipping it back tomorrow after work. It's been sitting in my trun k since then....

I'll be getting the EXHALE Version 2 when it's available. This time it will have an actual muffler to keep things quieter.

I'll post back once I hear anything about a more def. date.

Hey so I hope I am getting this WORKS performance package soon. I finally have enough saved up. But, your video sounded a bit different than the actual WORKS one. I did not like the way yours sounded, sounded kinda ricey at times. Could the difference be attributed to fed vs. PZEV cars or were you simply reving it higher than they were?

Not sure if the fed vs. pzev would really have any difference in sound quality. I would think not. Just at low rpm....under 3000...it was loud for me. Over 3K, it wasn't too bad.

Other people were shooting the videos with probably real video cameras. Mine was shot with a Sony camera. But what you heard is going to be pretty much how it sounds.
I was only rev'n it to 4,000 rpm. Any higher, I prob. would have been upset'n the neighbors....kinda a quiet town.....

I personally think the works exhaust/mufflers sound awful. Make the 2.0 sound ricey and droney crap.

And in Oz too completely taking out your muffler is a big defect, and can attract a $10k fine.

Yeah, 6ft its a muffler delete, so I believe its similar to str8 pipes.

I've been looking at the Tanabe AB. Their site claims it to be under 93 decibels. As soon as it comes out, I'll be testing it.

Actually, the CVT limiter kicks in at 4,000 RPM... so you wouldn't be able to go any higher

Ain't that the truth! She's got a rollin pin already picked out for you Willy!
Thump...thump....thump!

I looked into the Tanabe.....my only problem with it.....it only comes with a 1 year warranty. I still like it....but that says to me that they really don't have much faith in their product.

Come to think of it.....WORKS told me that their product would be at or under the 93DB rating as well........makes ya wonder how the Tanabe will be.

Is that right? I think thats only in Neutral and Park. Pretty sure I've hit 5000K several times in Drive mode.

Well, I meant that in reference to SFD's video... which was in park/neutral.

So we're both right on that one

Oh, and by the way, if you really want a new exhaust that peforms but isn't so loud, you might want to consider a dual exit exhaust. They are quiet in the low end, maybe a slight grumble, but they really pick up in the upper end.

For me it was too loud. This is only my opinion. Other people have it & love it. I just wanted something that had a nice growl to it....which this did, but anything under 3K just seemed too loud for MY taste.

As far as the Inejn intake goes.....it sounded awesome on Willy's ride. Now that was the kind of sound I was looking for :)

Believe me...I have nothing butlove for WORKS & their products. I am waiting on the newer version of this exhaust which could...I say could be out in a few months maybe. Once it comes out...I'm getting it as long a it is quieter than the Exhale...which it should be. After that, I will be getting other goodies from them.
I just have to be patient & wait it out.

I was very close to picking up the WORKS AB, but then figured with all the
