well how would you suggest doing a dual outlet on a lancer (i think all of ours have a cutout bumper)?

Well, no Y-pipes because our cars don't produce enough power to overcome the split. You'll have a lot of flow going in one pipe and just a little bit going out the other. You could do a single-in, dual out canister like the Evo X/RalliArt (think our stock exhaust, but with another exhaust pipe on the left side). However, doing this will require modifying the stock bumper because there is only one cut out for the right side. Aftermarket bodykit companies should be coming out with a rear diffuser that will allow a dual exhaust setup. One of the users here (DKTRL) was working on one and it looked very promising... but he was "removed" from the forums.

The only other solution is to have a dual exit muffler (not canister). This will allow the same function, but at half the size. It looks something like this...

Same function, different form.

You can buy a universal muffler and have a muffler shop weld it to fit or convert it into a bolt on design for you.

Sorry for jacking your thread SFD.
