I'm about to go a little :offtopic:

I'm 17 and like 8 months had my liscence for like 3 months. All people around my age say they are safe drivers which maybe so but we lack something called experience for example if we were to lose control many of us would not know what to do and might even die. Some of you guys have been driving upwards of 15 years or whatever.

Bo38 you get all on the defensive when these guys give you critisism but you gotta open your eyes and realise it is entirely for you benefit.

the Lancers have great factory warranty why would you wanna go and ruin that with your boosted fantasies?

as all the others have stated to Turbo your car is not a straight bolt on job it takes time, lots of money and even more knowledge (which at our age we lack lets face it).

So go away and drive the car your parents paid for and be happy when you earn your own money buy a project car that comes from the factory with a turbo

Till then enjoy your blessing

hi im 21. i have a desert sand lancer. iv had it for a lil over a year. take these guys advice and dont be an idiot..unless your a golden child and your parents have to much money hold off. im waiting for a supercharger. anywayy listen... your going to pay what atleast 4 grand for your turbo right? ok with your stock 4b11 lancer gts motor (not the evo) your motors only going to be able to handle like 6-7 psi? the evo runs around 22 psi. thats about 50 bucks for a single horsey. you can do alot of things with 4 grand. orrr you can spend about 10 grand to change the engine tranny exhaust components then your looking at about 15 grand + labor. now your looking at an evo. just wait for a supercharger or put some nos in. dont blow your motor and lose your warranty. im getting rrm's new short ram intake some exhaust and powder coating my rims. all we can do is sit and wait bud. dont get mad get glad

Or keep it stock tint it keep the warranty and buy a 1g dsm for 800 and dump 1000 in it and run 13's

What you spend to make your lancer run 13's will turn a DSM into a 10 second beast.

DUDE im 19 and i jes bought my car for myself and as a speed demon i truly appreciate my 09 GTS with heart even tho it dusnt run as fast as my 65 Cobra 289
or my dads 71 Mach 1 302. ive been in drags wit my buds, and yes the 65 year old pony is mine, but just to get my bearing straight i started off with an 01 Ram 1500 that had its engine rebuilt because the tranny blew so it was nothing but problems from there on. I will get teh ralliart in about a year or so wen i pay off wat i can on my Lancer but man am I happy with my sluggish CVT because i appreciate that it is mine. maybe ull do the same. or maybe ur near death experience killed some braincells I D K. jes listen to these guys, i too was gettin ahead of myself thinkin about turbos and watnot, but in the end its not going to be worth it for another 6 years when we have tons of options to choose from.
