Full Member Group: Members Posts: 242 Joined: 27-July 08 Member No.: 61,786 Status: Location: New Hampshire Drives: 2004 Diamante, 2004 Galant, 2004 Lancer, 1999 Eclipse RS, 1995 3000GT	I replaced the rear rotors on my 2004 diamante a few months back. As you might know, the emergency brake is a drum brake, the drum being the inside of the rotor. You have to stick a screw driver through a port on the rotor to adjust the ebrake. I adjusted mine as tight as I could while still being able to turn the rotors by hand. The e-brake doesn't really even work now and at slow speeds I have a "squeek-squeek-squeek-squeek-squeek-squeek-squeek-squeek-squeek-squeek-squeek". how do you properly adjust these?

Are yu going in the correct way? Maybe yur handbrake shoe is overly worn. I figured the hub should turn freely, but I just pulled the rotors on another car with the same setup and made note that the hubs don't turn that easy when the hand-brake is on. -AYD
